I am married to the man of my dreams, Whit, and he is a fire fighter in the USAF. We are at our first duty station, Shaw AFB in Sumter, SC. We have been married for a year and a half, but together off and on ;) for almost 10 years! We recently bought our first house and have been trying (trying being the operative word) to do some renovations and decorating! It has been a fun, slow-moving process and I'm sure I will share some stories about it with you all as we go along.
In May we got a kitten (from the SPCA), his name is Gumby and he is crazy but awesome! Then, in June, for my husband's birthday, we made another trip to the SPCA and picked up the runt of a litter of Jack Russell mix puppies. We named him Griffey (after Ken Griffey Jr.) and we love him to pieces. Recently, he was diagnosed with something similar to a canine version of Cystic Fibrosis. :( The vet said she can't give a timeline, but the disease will eventually kill him. Total bummer because we love him sooooooo much. Anyway, for now, we just treat him with tons of medicine to make his symptoms and life as normal as possible. :)
